The scale runs from Cleaner to More polluted. Areas with no published reading stay neutral and are labelled unknown.

Sources and confidence

Built from Defra PCM background pollution maps (2024). Each value records its source, the date it was retrieved and whether it is a verified reading, a derived statistic or a model output, following Property Data Trust Framework conventions.
